How Are Fish Mating?
That’s pretty cool that happy aquarium is able to mate your fish but requires to have one pair same kind of fish (female & male) once a day. It’s quite easy to mate your fish..
First, make sure you have one pair fish are mate ready ( female & male ) and both of them hunger bar must be full, select either any one of your fish that you wish to mate, then click “Mate”
After that, confirmation message will pop up require you to confirm fish mate or cancel, click on ” √” to mate and if you want to cancel/stop select ” X “. The cost for mating your fish may be different due to different kind of fish, the calculation for the cost of fish mate is 50% of original fish price.
eg. Spotted Cardinal fish selling $30 at store, to mate your fish it will cost 50% of $30, so the cost for mating your Spotted Cardinal fish will be $15.
Your fish will start mating after you select “√” , see images below
After awhile, if you notice the fish lay down an egg ..congratulation! you have success to make another new fish in your aquarium, otherwise, you are failed.
When the egg will grow up as normal fish?
You can click on the Fish egg, it will show you when your egg will be hatching from the egg. Every different kind fish are different hatching time, calculation for this hatching time is 50% of the original fish growth into adult.
eg. Goldfish will take about 20hours to adult, the Goldfish egg hatching time will be 50% of 20 hours, so that is 10hours hatching time.

Mine are not mating too, Seems before if mating was unsuccessful would get money back, but this time round, lost probably over 400 gold……it seems that there is no point in mating or even risking it, if you dont get your money back after being unsuccessful :(

I’ve lost hundreds of coins like that… I can’t get them to mate. Every time I get a message saying ‘love potion didn’t work this time’ even when both (male and female) have their food bar full (and clean tank etc.). Like Darren said, it’s not worth taking a risk.

I manage to get my fish to mate in avg. 1 out of 10 tries. Yayeasy, what am I doing wrong?

whenever i mate my fish i always use the female fish to mate and i hardly got any that didnt mate

these mating thing is totally annoying … it should work with a chance of about 80% … but reality is that most of the time the fish dont want to mate at all with a chance of 50% or higher! … there are better days but i never get 80% successful when mating … and it doesnt matter if i only use the females or the males
since it costs money when fish dont want to mate it is hard to make profit out of it … for me its more and more that mating doesnt make sense anymore because you lose more money then you earn and thats a pity

They need to remain happy when you click them. If they change the shape of their mouth, shut their eyes or blow bubbles there’s no chance it’ll go through. Also, make sure their food bar is 98% full at min. At the moment I have 16 eggs in 1 of my tanks – I can say it was about 85-90% successful.

Looks like they updated it so the fish can quit halfway through the mating process (spinning and hearts flying around) and say they ain’t in the mood. I can only agree with gnarg now. I believe the success percentage is under 40. I think I’m going to quit playing soon.

My fish mate almost 100% of the time :) It works better if you feed them and clean the tank before you do it! Also it doesn’t charge you if it doesn’t work! :D

My fish mate 100% also, there is little trick when you click Mate button then cancel on the confirmation. You will see an X on the eyes of the fish.. try that on both male and female and that would not fail

Ashley, it does charge you and it doesn’t work even if I have full clean and food bar. Last time I tried I had 0/4 (never the same fish) then I stopped. I still think it makes no sense mating with such percentage.

I always can made between 2 or 3 eggs, but then appears the message about the love potion, and the mate fail, i try again, and fail again. I was lost some money with this D:! like 3000 or more. Some times i can mate my fish with a 100%, i can made some eggs (6-10), but all the time i got these problem.

Mine mate, got egg but always turns out to be a male (only get female for ONCE which is 1/4). I want more female ones… Is there any way Yay Easy?

HELP!!!!, ok…, so u see I just mated my Auriga butterfly, then i also decided to mate my clown fish.. and they both got successful… there were two eggs in my aquarium then…. i got bored so i decided to visit my neighbor… when i came back in my home… i only found one egg…, the other egg dissapered and it didn’t hatch yet… where could it have gone??????… pls help me ASAP…. Tnx very much…
